USCN official website
We hope you braved through the hardships of 2009 with smile and courage. USCN enters its fifth year, ushering in a year of opportunities and development. USCN, founded in Chicago in 2005, is a not-for-profit organization with the mission to promote mutual understandings and facilitate business, cultural and art exchanges between the two countries.
USCN has experienced significant growth since 2005. We sponsor forums, conferences and luncheons, featuring a wide variety of topics of interest (click here to see our past events). Here is a roundup of events in 2009 hosted by USCN: besides regular business, art and cultural exchanges, we sponsored three major forums:
- 30th Anniversary of US-China Diplomatic Relationship in Jan, 2009, attended by Chinese president and Jimmy Carter, the former US president (click for photo gallery here);
- China Green Forum in Oct. 2009, attended by 12 heads of states from China, Brazil, India, Holland, Russia and etc;
- 70th Anniversary of Dr. Normal Bethune's Death for the Chinese People in Nov. 2009 at Beijing Diaoyutai State Guest House, the Chinese presidential palace.
With the promising new year ahead, USCN
will bring more opportunities to our members. USCN will be sponsoring a medical exchange program in June of 2010 with the major medical institutions in China and the US. We will sponsor two major art exhibitions, one in October 2010 running up to the Asian Games in November 2010. The exhibition will feature sports related sculptures by famous Chinese Master Sculptor Xu Hongfei and famous US sculptor Abiola Akintola. USCN is working with China National Gallery and US counterparts to host a joint exhibition of artworks by Chinese.
